Hähnchen mit Ofengemüse

Chicken with oven vegetables

Baking time: 45 minutes

3-4 servings



  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 1,5 kg potatoes
  • 1 zucchini
  • 2 red peppers
  • 5-6 carrots
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt, pepper
  • smoked paprika
  • 4 sprigs rosemary


  1. Rinse the chicken drumsticks, pat dry and then marinate. (Either with just salt, bell pepper and paprika powder or with a ready-made chicken seasoning and some olive oil).
  2. Clean and prepare vegetables:
    Clean carrots and quarter lengthwise, then cut into bite-sized pieces.
    Wash and slice zucchini.
    Clean peppers, remove seeds and cut into wide strips.
    Peel and quarter the garlic clove.
  3. Peel the potatoes and cut them into wedges, then season them with salt, pepper and smoked paprika as well (you can also use a French fry or potato seasoning here).
  4. Place the potatoes and vegetables in the prepared baking dish (alternatively deep baking sheet) and place the chicken thighs on top. Push the rosemary sprigs in between.
  5. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake for 45 minutes until golden brown.

PS: Sometimes, depending on the type of potato it can take a little longer!
